How do you use GS1 in your everyday life?

- We use GS1 to retrieve master data when we create goods in a system. So, we are first and foremost data retrievers, you could say. But when we have self-produced goods with meat and fish, we are data givers because we are the ones who enter information into GS1's system.

- GS1 supports our webshop, where 90 percent of our revenue comes from. GS1 is absolutely indispensable in this context because when you sell food in the way we do, the customer must have access to information about the goods. The information must be very specific, down to the ingredient level. It's hard to see how we could provide that service without the help we get from GS1 on a daily basis. This is actually the case for most wholesalers and retail chains in Denmark. GS1 is our common reference point.

How does the collaboration with GS1 contribute and develop in your company?

- It's a completely different reality we're facing today. Today, our suppliers in Denmark can extract master data. If you buy a roll from Schulstad, you need to be able to ensure that it's actually what you bought.

- Over the past five years, there have been far more demands for data-based reports where everything has to be covered all the time. When we need to document that the products in an organic canteen are actually organic, it's a great help that we can see in the system how organic the customer really is because we have access to their specific details. Everything you need to know today if you want to be a modern and efficient company, you can get from GS1's registrations.

- It takes a long time to enter data into the system, but it saves us time in the long run because we don't have to do it multiple times.

- GS1 is absolutely superb when it comes to service. GS1 was created for us and can help as soon as we have a question.
