In common parlance, many people know the GTIN as a barcode, but technically the GTIN is the number below the barcode symbol itself, and can therefore also be used for other technologies such as 2D barcodes and RFID tags.
How the copy function works for entire hierarchies
If you want to copy a hierarchy consisting of a base unit and a packaging unit (clean package), you must:
1. Select the column unit as shown below, press "New product" and "Copy hierarchy"
2. Then you need to enter the new GTINs for the devices
3. Then you need to confirm the creation. You will be directed to the smallest unit in the hierarchy - the base unit - and you can now start editing. Be sure to correct any information that is different from the original hierarchy. Images and documents are not copied to the new hierarchy.
