The following schedule reflects upcoming GS1Trade Sync and GDSN releases and will be updated as more information is available for each release.

The schedule includes expected release dates and cut-off dates for future releases.

GDSN Releases

Below is an overview ofGS1Trade Sync and GS1 GDSN releases.

Current data model: Danish Data Model - version 3.1.35

GDSN Release 3.1.31

Release with many small updates. Pay special attention to data sharing to Austria and Switzerland.

  • Minor fix for EUDR validation rules to allow 'Not applicable' for HS code 4402
  • Added fields for possible entry of information for CO2
  • Unification of code values for customs codes
  • New validation rules for medical devices

December 2024- Delivery of global documentation.

- Delivery of local changes for the Danish data model.

Delta sheet 3.1.31 (27-03-2025)

April 24, 2025- Estimated Test Environment (UAT) ready with Danish and global changes for testing.

May 24-25, 2025- Deployment to production.

Danish Data Model - version 3.1.31

GDSN Release 3.1.32

Minor release with especially updating of code values. However, medical device manufacturers should be aware of new fields in the data model.

July 27, 2025

August 24 - 25, 2025 - Deployment to production.

GDSN Release 3.1.33

Minor release with mainly code value updates. Some new rules and changes in rules. Some rules have updates for specifying the relevant country. So the information about the affected country is taken out of the structural rule and listed separately in a new column. But no functional change in how the rule works.

August 2025- Delivery of global documentation.

GDSN Release 3.1.34

What to be aware of:

  • Requirement to specify collective arrangements at basic units.
  • Meal replacements and supplement products must fill in additional mandatory information.
  • Products containing chemicals will display new CLP related fields with warnings to fill in.
  • Eggs in shell for general consumers require extra attention as quality/grade, size and farming method now need to be filled in.
  • Coffee products will see new fields related to coffee production.

November 2025- Delivery of global documentation.

January 20, 2026  -Estimated Test Environment (UAT) ready with Danish and global changes for testing.

GDSN Release 3.1.35

What to be aware of:

  • Validation of code consistency using multiple types of customs code classification.
  • Requirements for instructions for use and product descriptions on meal replacements, dietary supplements, and vitamins/minerals/dietary supplements.
  • Warnings about ECHO-relevant attributes for medical device suppliers.
  • For honey, specific information on origin and percentages must be provided in the case of multiple countries of origin.
  • Updated validation rule ensures that gross weight cannot be less than net content if this is specified in weight.
  • Updating SUP-relevant product categories.
  • Avoid using code list values marked with DELETE.

GDSN Release 3.1.36

What to be aware of:

  • The attribute 'Ingredient Group Content Percentage(7077)' is deleted.
  • Change to the 'GPC category name', which can now contain up to 250 characters.
  • Adding attributes and associated code lists to battery specifications
  • New attributes and associated code lists for makeup products
  • Adding and updating attributes and a code list to enable the sharing of structured data on collagen/protein and fat content in ground meat
  • New global validation rules that apply to data sharing with other markets. They do not affect the Danish data model. See the validation rules in the delta sheet.
