Exporting data via Excel from GS1Trade Sync to GS1Trade Packaging

Do you have a lot of data that you want to transfer from GS1Trade Sync to the packaging system, GS1Trade Packaging?

The following is a guide to do just that - using an Excel sheet.

This requires a simple report from GS1Trade Sync containing a limited data set that can easily be transferred to the Excel import template in GS1Trade Packaging.

Startup and report

Log in to GS1Trade Sync.

Find reports under the Product overview tab.

In the drop-down list, select the Units for Excel, complete or selected dataset option.

How to create a report

Here you can create a report of your data and select the data points you need in GS1Trade Packaging.

Give the report a meaningful name. This can include what it will be used for.

Target it with the information you need it to contain.  

In the following example, it is a report where the information is used to create a product in GS1Trade Packaging and Packaging Type.

If there is additional packaging data stored in GS1Trade Sync, this can also be added to the report.

In that case, click Add Field and select the fields to include.

Download reports

Once the report is created, it can be downloaded as an excel file under the Tasks tab.

Now you can transfer the information from the report to the import template in GS1Trade Packaging and import your data.
