When a company has shared data with you in GS1Trade Packaging, you can view the shared data in the "Import shared data" tab.

Go to the "Sharing" tab and "Import shared data" in the main menu.

Under "Import data" you can see the data providers that have sent you data and whether data has been updated or updates are available.

Click on a given data provider to view the data sent, including number of products and number of packaging units.

Click the Preview link to view the received data.

Click Import all updates to import data into your workspace.

Once you have imported data, the shared products will appear under "Products" and the shared packaging data under "Packaging master data".

Shared data is locked. It is indicated by a light blue padlock icon. You are therefore not able to edit the received data. Only your data provider can change the data and share these updates with you.

How you can work with shared data in GS1Trade Packaging

• Link packaging units and components to other products in GS1Trade Packaging.
• Redistribute these imported products to other recipients (Note: you cannot redistribute a received product, but you can redistribute the packaging units and components if they are linked to another product before redistribution).
• Include the products in a report and calculate marketed volumes for the shared products.
